Josiah Closson & Me

Josiah Closson (1655-1699) of Plymouth Colony was my 8th great-grandfather.

My Closson surname lineage looks like this:
John Closson > Jason Closson > Stanford Closson > Stillman Closson > Charles Closson > Thomas Closson > Gideon Closson > Thomas Closson > Timothy Closson II > Timothy Closson > Josiah Closson

My copies of the book The Josiah Closson Family of New England were derived from my father inheriting one of the 13 original copies from his father. My grandfather received this copy from the author, William G. Closson. In 1976, my mother Ann M. Closson completed the re-typing of this book and I recently scanned her typed copy for online sharing.

I hope this online version will be helpful to others interested in genealogy and those researching various branches of the family.

John Stanford Closson
